How to instrument flange when designing instrument selection

1. How to choose the sealing surface of instrument flange

The type of flange sealing surface mainly depends on the nature  pressure of the tested medium. The instrument flange selected in the design shall meet the national  industrial standards, such as GB (National), Hg (chemical industry), JB (Mechanical), etc.

Normally:

When the medium pressure is  more than 1.6Mpa, the plane flange can be selected;

When the medium pressure is  more than 2.5MPa, raised face flange is optional;

For high temperature, high pressure, flammable, explosive  toxic media, when the media pressure is  more than 6.4Mpa, concave convex flange shall be selected;

For the tenon face flange, although its sealing performance is good, but because of the trouble of manufacturing  disassembly  maintenance, it is generally  used except for highly toxic medium  medium pressure  greater than 42MPa.

2. How to choose the pressure grade of instrument flange

The selection principle is: the pressure level of instrument flange shall be equal to  higher than the pressure level of the pipeline  equipment connected with it.

3. How to choose the standard of instrument flange

The standard of the selected instrument flange shall be consistent with the flange standard of the pipeline  equipment to which it is connected as far as possible.
