Butt welding neck flange refers to a flange with a tapered neck butt welding with a cylinder pipe. It is an integral flange.
Due to the transitional structure of the tapered neck the butt welding connection, the strength rigidity of the flange are strengthened, the sealing is better than that of the flat welding flange. Disadvantages are the need to use forgings to manufacture, consume more materials, have large manufacturing costs. It is suitable for occasions with high pressure temperature high sealing requirements.
